An audit, according to the definition given to us ISO 19011, is a "systematic, independent and documented process, through which we can obtain evidence - records, declarations, verifiable information -, which allows us to verify compliance of the requirements requested by a certain standard, or some document such as the policy or strategy imposed by the top management of an organization.

Normally they are audits of 8 hours per day, between 2 to 3 days, depending on the size of the company or the audited areas.
